Created for my rogue player’s assassination mission, an open ended adventure in the docks with many different vertical levels. I created this from scratch to allow for vertically stacked battlemaps which I could easily switch between. The app was running on my computer and displayed on an old monitor laying flat on the table, then the character/camera were controlled via keyboard numpad. It supports line of sight, lighting, & opening/closing doors. The adventure took a lot of inspiration from Thief & Dishonored so it was important to have lots of dynamic interactions and allow me to react to the player on the fly. I also built some tools to make adding walls and doors to any battlemap really quick and easy, to help rapidly put together all these layered maps. The adventure went great! It was really effective moving seemlessly between floors on the ships/buildings in town, there was even a sewer escape route!

Personal Responsibilities:
  • Line of sight
  • Fog of war
  • Open/close doors
  • Lighting
  • Character/camera movement
  • Vertical stacking/switching battemaps
  • Source/purchase battlemaps
